PLCs, Embedded Systems &
Industrial Automation
Level 5

Course Overview

This 12-week advanced programme develops technical competence in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), embedded systems and industrial automation. Building on prior Level 4 knowledge or equivalent technical competence, learners progress into embedded-system technologies, 8051 microcontrollers, assembly-language programming, peripheral interfacing, advanced PLC applications, industrial communications, electrical machines and integrated automation.

Learning is applied through programming, simulation, PLC trainer activities, hardware interfacing, troubleshooting and industrial engineering scenarios. The programme is designed for technicians and engineering personnel seeking to progress beyond PLC installation and foundational programming into more advanced control, embedded and automation systems.
