Course Overview
Effective plumbing maintenance is essential for ensuring the reliability,
safety, efficiency, and longevity of residential, commercial, and industrial
buildings. This course provides learners with the practical knowledge and
technical skills required to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair
plumbing systems while applying industry standards and safe working practices.
Participants will develop an understanding of plumbing materials, water
supply systems, sanitary and drainage systems, preventive maintenance,
fault diagnosis, safety requirements, and property management
considerations. Practical activities reinforce classroom learning through
the use of plumbing tools, components, and assembly techniques commonly
encountered in maintenance operations.
The programme also introduces learners to advanced plumbing systems,
including fire suppression and HVAC-related installations, while
demonstrating how preventive maintenance supports operational efficiency,
regulatory compliance, and reduced lifecycle costs.
Upon successful completion, participants will be better prepared to

- Cold water pipework installation and maintenance
- Open vented hot water systems
- Pressure regulation, hydraulic shock, booster pumps

- Expansion/contraction and contamination prevention
Module 4: Sanitary & Drainage Systems
- Sanitary system installation and maintenance
